December/Decembre

Happy mid-December! I made this calendar to stay organized for the next two weeks and thought I would share it here. Also, like making cards, making calendars is an easy way to force myself to start drawing. (Its also a way to add productivity to all the time I've been spending watching Louis CK.) You can open it in 839 x 1024 or 1311 x 1600. The initials for the days are in french, if you couldn't tell.

Last week I signed up for library cards to the two library systems here in Montreal and took out a bunch of books on flora, which were clearly inspirational. I didn't realize how much I missed hanging out at the library until I went and glutted myself on cactuses and wildflowers and my old friend David Foster Wallace.

Bought some india ink today so I can get back into the black.

It's really winter in Montreal! I'm really grateful to the Yukon thriftstore I used to frequent and my impractical impulses to gather wooly winter things when I lived on the West coast.

I made this lil guy in the spring. People doing yoga is one of my go-tos for drawing, but I need to learn some more poses.

Sunday 18 November 2012

I just moved to Montreal, and as it is a time of all things new, I am starting this blog as a place to post drawings.
